National High School Journalist of the Year

Under "JEA/NSPA" I have linked all of the requirements to be considered for the National High School Journalist of the Year. I hope my diverse portfolio impresses you, and feel free to contact me with any questions.

Dear

Journalism Education Association

I am humbled and proud to present my portfolio to you today. As you will soon see, some of the works featured in my portfolio took years in the making, and I am eager for you witness my passion for journalism. Over the years I have had the chance to witness fellow student journalists being highlighted each year at the Alabama Scholastic Press Association Convention, and I am incredibly honored to hold the title of Alabama's Journalist of the Year and the title of ABA Broadcast Journalist of the Year. I am enthused to even be considered for the National High School Journalist of the Year, and

& National Scholastic Press Association,

hope my wide variety of journalistic experiences in television, radio, and print make me a strong candidate. Aside from the many state journalism titles I hold, which are all featured on my resume, I have also already represented the state of Alabama at the 2016 SkillsUSA National Conference. While there I placed as one of the top fifteen student broadcast journalists in the Nation, and I am completely prepared to return this year to win. I know that I will someday make it as a professional journalist and I am hopeful that my countless hours of work, both in and out of the classroom, will not go unnoticed. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Brady Talbert
